What is Numfolio?
Numfolio is a free portfolio tracker. It brings stocks, ETFs, funds, crypto, gold, cash and property together in one place and shows their total value, what they cost you, your profit or loss for the day and for longer periods, and how your money is split between asset types. Every feature is free.
Why the calculators?
Some questions come up again and again when you look after your own investments: what is my average cost per share, what will this deposit be worth in ten years, how much does a higher compounding frequency really add? These pages answer such questions without an account. Every calculator states its formula, the assumptions behind it and the limits of the result.
How we write and check the content
- Formulas are written out in full on each page, with a worked example you can repeat by hand.
- The examples in the articles are produced by the same code as the calculator and are checked automatically, so the text and the tool cannot drift apart.
- Rates, rules and figures that depend on an official source name that source on the page.
- Each page shows when its content last changed. When a source or a rule changes, the page is updated and the date moves forward.
